The company I work for placed an order for a fridge and microwave on the 23rd of August 2005. It's now the 27th of September - we have received neither and have had to queue for ages on the phone to get any information.
Details are
Placed order on 18th August. Money for both items was taken from our credit card on the 23rd.
We heard nothing from then on.
We sent numerous emails, none of which was ever answered. Eventually we found a telephone number on PriceRunner (07004 247 247) - we hadn't managed to find one on their own site.
Phoned on 19th Sept to be told that the order would be delivered on the next Monday.
No delivery came - we heard nothing.
Eventually phoned again on Sept 26th. After holding in a queue for 20 minutes, we were told that 'the microwave was marked down as having been delivered' and that 'the fridge hadn't arrived at their warehouse yet", but they were expecting a delivery from LG in the next day or so.
The agent told us he would look into what had happened to the microwave and get back to us that day. He also agreed when we suggested that taking an order for an item they still didn't have a month later, and not contacting us about it was not good practice.
He didn't call back.
We are now thoroughly fed up with this company. They have made no attempt to inform us of what is going on, and as far as I can tell have no intention of ever delivering our order.
If we don't hear anything by the end of tomorrow we will call our credit card provider and cancel the order.
Our company is a successful web design agency, and we will certainly use our facilities to warn other shoppers of the fact that dealing with 247electrical sucks!

Try the local Trading Standards.
I made the mistake of using 247electrical to try and buy a Dyson.
There used to be plenty of comments about them on Pricerunner.
They took my money, and never supplied the goods. I tried emails, phoning them, and got one pack of lies after another. By the time I got to talk to the credit card company, they said they wouldn't help, something to do with a time limit after the order was placed of 90 days I think.
In the end Trading Standards got my money back for me, they were great.
The Dyson was over 200 pounds and I wasn't prepared to loose that sort of money without a good fight. I think people who buy cheaper items give up trying to get their money back, which is how 247electrical make a profit.
The sad thing was, trading standards said they couldn't close 247electrical down.

Received this response to my above post in a private message.Dear Customer
I am the managing director of 247 Electrical and I take personal responsibility for our customer service and to make every effort to ensure 247 delivers nothing more than customer delight, which on this occasion has obviously not happened.
I review all postings about our company which is how I came across your issue and I can only apologise that it took this to get the problem noticed.
I can confirm that your order has now been cancelled and the relevant card refunded. I have investigated the matter and would be happy to offer a full explanation if you so wish but did not want to bother you at this stage, I thought you would just be interested to know that we have refunded the card and to receive my sincere apologise.
Incidentally the way to place a review on Pricerunner should have been sent to you in a link on completion of the order but this would only be the case if you purchased through Pricerunner.
Best regards
Dominic Yacoubian
Director
However, this does not negate the poor service we've received over the past month. If Mr Yacoubian would spend as much enthusiasm in getting his staff to answer emails, inform customers and phone back when the say they will then he might not need to spend so much time monitoring forums like this.
What it comes down to is that we wanted a fridge and microwave by the end of August, and because we dealt with 247electrical our milk is still going off and I'm still eating cold pies for lunch at the end of September.
It's also true that having done some research on the web ( which we should have done before ordering of course ) I've found that many people have had the same experience with 247Electrical.
Despite Mr Yacoubian's speed in resolving this now, we can't recommend anyone to use 247electrical in the future.0
