i wonder what mine is. i've had the account for about 18 months now and never been in credit, its been standing at -£1500 for the majority of that time.
What's it going to be, eh?

    Around 3 months.
Good. I started filling out but didn't complete a loan application form in online banking and it quotes 24.9% apr and says
Your current loan illustration has been based on various factors including your account history, credit history and the amount you want to borrow

It doesn't matter if you are over drawn (unless you've got loads of credit out) it's how you manage your account eg. do you incur charges etc. That's what the man told me.

Strange things these internal scores. I am with Lloyds and my usual score is 2-3 but one month without any reason went up to 9 and when I applied for a personal loan at that time the apr was 27.9%. However very mysteriously the next month it dropped down to 6.2% and back within my usual range of 2-3.

Also my external score (though probably not worth much) is 1000 with Experian.

    Hi,

Any idea how you have to be with LTSB to improve internal score to get an credit card with them?

My other half opened the Current account in March and she has now been approved for an £500 overdtaft. The Credit card was a straight NO.

    Thanks

Depends on general credit score with CRA's.

Any adverse information would be a straight decline for loans and cards. I have no idea why she is being offered an overdraft if this is the case.

Friend of mine who is on an IVA and had a classic account with an Electron card last year got upgraded straight to Platimum with 250 Interest Free OD and £250 CG Card!

I was a little gobsmacked to say the least.

I expect that if you run your account exceptionally well, even with the odd blip on a CRA file, you'd get a small limit credit card or OD......
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂

    I am a 3  7.9% apr loans all the way:rolleyes:
  • I am a 9 due to having a cash account and a old default on my credit file that is due to drop off at the end of the month however I have another full bank account with HSBC and I have a very good behaviour score. I think lloyds are a very fussy bank and their cashiers can look down on you if your risk band is high.
