Hi I was in the bank yesterday paying some things off when the man who was dealing with my money asked if i'd ever been with thier collections dept?!
Now, as far as I know I haven't but he said if you pay late or exceed your over draft limit, it automatically goes to collections and sometimes, you don't even get a letter to tell you this becasue you've paid whatever was owed straight away. Has anyone else ever known this?
He also said that according to thier internal credit rating score I was a 4. It goes from 1 (best) to 9 (worst). So if i'm a 4, what does this mean? Can I get credit? Does it affect my ability to get credit elsewhere?
Any help to clarify this would be greatly appreciated.

So 4 must be "good".0

Can you go in and ask what score you are then?0

He told me as part of finding out about why I was at collections but he said I wasn't supposed to know? However, i'm sure if you booked a 'review' and asked them they'd tell you. You could say it was because you want to improve your credit rating or something.

I have asked this question before
1-3 are the best customers
4-6 are the average customers
6-9 are the lower than average customers.
so 4 is the top end of average so thats not bad - you should be able to get most of there offer rates with that.
This does not in anyway reflect your external credit rating it is for internal lloydstsb only.

Hi,
Any idea how long it takes to improve the score on a New LTSB Account?
Thanks

Oh that's not too long then is it? I had my last account o/d charge in Nov so that's how long it's taken me to go from a rubbish score (but not sure what) to a 4. Hope that helps. Also was advised to get on the electoral roll, which I have.
