I just came back from Boots where I exchanged a No7 bath soak (£8)
For:
Olay Total Effects Hand Treatment £4.97
Olay Daily Facial express wipes £4.49
No7 Stay Perfect nail colour £6.25
At this stage till showed £7.71?
handed over PC FREE Olay wipes and £5 No7 voucher
Olay voucher scanned and took total to £3.32
Then No7 voucher beeped - SA got a colleague to look and said its because less than £5. So she took the nail colour off the total, and then gave me a gift card with £0.32 on AND the PC voucher back?!
and then put the nail colour in as a separate transaction totalling £1.25
Shouldn't I have had £3.03 on the gift card? I keep working it out in my mind and feel I've been diddled!
Receipt does show the No7 bath soak twice (-£8.00 R)
And says total saving £9.49 Incuding £5 coupon save
I can't figure it out at allAny words of wisdom appreciated!!

Yes, it is! Boots put these coupons out for us to use, and staff shouldn't make people feel ashamed for making use of the offers Boots created for the purpose of getting you to shop in the store, which is what you were doing. I'm doubly amazed about this behavior from No7 SAs after reading here that they get commission on coupons, too. So what's her beef; wouldn't she rather have commission on six items than one?
None of us should be made to feel bad for making use of legitimate bargains; I know I sure wouldn't buy any No7 stuff without them, as for the most part it's no better than brands like Revlon and Loreal (maybe not even as good as those brands), and inferior to Estee Lauder and some other premium brands, imo. But we try it and buy it, and maybe find a favorite shade of something that keeps us coming back, because of the deals and gwps. If they alienate us "bargain" buyers, No7 sales would drop noticeably. Rant over, lol.
Did 3 little shops today with a No.7 item in each shop using the £5 voucher of course SA said to me very sarky .... do you know you are the only person who uses coupons in here, I took no notice of her barbed comment and if she was waiting for a reply to it she didn't get one.
Lady behind me said where do you get those from .... I produced one from my handbag and gave it to her she was well pleased but my parting words to the SA was ... well now there are two of us using them ... her face was a picture :rotfl:0 -

For the first time today I got certain 'looks' for using the £5 No7 voucher. The SA had never seen them before and literally 'tutted' when I said I wanted to do seperate transactions for each item. I had 10 nail varnishes in my basket but because of how uncomfortable the SA made me feel only bought 3 ........................ she made me feel like I was doing something wrong ....................... really upset me.
I'm just glad I got a nice SA last week (in different branch) who was only too happy to put through 10 nail varnishes as seperate transactions, but its wrong how SA treat you. Rant over0 -
That was really good! Go you!:T
I love outlets and I would be really excited if i found a Boots one!!!!!!
Where in the world is Beckton? lol.
Did the whole store have offers, or was it the same with a bigger clearance??
Beckton is on the A13 between London and Dagenham. It's a special outlet store (with a Next outlet right next door), so everything is clearance, but some prices are better than others. Might try the tip that someone else mentioned about going there a few days after the sales end in the normal stores.
Maybe try emailing Boots to see if they have any other outlet stores. I did that with Matalan after my mum mentioned seeing an outlet branch in Swindon. Turns out there are about 5 Matalan outlets. Bargains galore! :jCross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27
