Still learning so please tell me, what is an HD PVR ?
High definition personal video recorder. So it is very high quality, and you can pause, rewind and record live tv etc, like sky plus.

As Mark Benton would say "It doesn't work like that!"

Satellite receivers don't have LNB loop though!

So why do they have LNB out?

So that a single output LNB can feed either a standard Sky box or the HD Freesat box. Only one receiver can control the LNB, so a multi feed LNB is obviously the better option.

What's it like? I'm thinking of buying one just for the Euros and then it will be on ebay as I'm planning on replacing sky with a Freesat PVR if a) they're any good and b) if/when the HD is sorted out on Freesat ie. CH4, CH5 etc.

Yes, so as long as only one of them is on, it should work.

Yes you are correct about this. I looked though the Grundig manual and strangely LNB out is not mentioned.

Or (as far as I know) go for one of the other Alba group (bush, goodmans, grundig) HD freesat boxes with lnb in/out and you just need another sat coax cable (with f-connectors) and loop your lnb through the freesat box to the sky box. The Humax box has the best pic quality (on HD, apparently via SD it's awful),

Well I've seen plenty of SD through my Humax & its not awful, good all round box, but I must admit holding out on the pvr boxes is a real let down.
