    So how is your Finnish?

I think he was asking if it would cost between £1.50 and £2 in his estimation.

    ...

As Angel has already said she quoted £1.80 for UK postage, so why would someone in Finland assume that postage would be cheaper overseas than it would be in the UK?

I don't speak Finnish (is that a langauge I wonder?) but when I've bought from overseas i always start from the assumption that postage to me will be considerably higher than it would be within their own country.

  • She said it was £1.80 for recorded delivery so without the recorded bit you are looking for around £1.10 for UK postage.

The royal mail website allows up to 200g to Europe for £2.03.

Depends on what the item was but perhaps he was on track with his estimation of £1.50 to £2 for the item?

What was it by the way and how much did it weigh?
I eBay, you eBay, we eBay.... just do it!!!!!

I have told them I won't post overseas anyway! I am giving people abroad a break for a while cos I can't be doing with the hassle or the parcel going "missing" so don't worry! I have emailed them back and said this! I have 9 watchers on the item anyway so hopefully it will go nicely! also I have a block on people abroad so they can't bid anyway!

I'm considering stopping overseas sales on more of my items as well due to the increase in problems recently. I already limit certain on my items to UK only due to their weight, but may have a real think about international sales due to the losses incurred. My problem at the moment is that parcels are going astray and since the Post Office only pay the loss on the item cost and not the post and packing it can be expensive when refunding as of course the full amount needs to be refunded to the buyer.

For instance, sending a £10 item with £6 of post and packing signed for would lose me £6 when it doesn't arrive.
