Tesco credit card

Hope someone can help.I took out a tesco credit in November because it advertised "The more you use it, the more you get back! - If you pay with your Clubcard Credit Card at Tesco or Tesco.com, you'll get 5 points for every £4 spent".
So according to my calculation if I spend £100 at Tesco ,I should receive 125 points ,plus the normal 1 point for every £1 spent.

I am not receiving these points and I have contacted Tesco several times ,only to be told I am wrong and they try and fob be off.

Can anyone tell me where I can complain about the misguided advert on the website and how I can go about receiving my missing points.

it usually takes a few weeks for the points to come on, not months, if you buy something from tesco using your credit card, where your clubcard points total is, it should say including points from tesco personal finance, check this first, before you ring them again.

Which points are you actually missing as I am sure you don't get another point on top for the "normal" point per pound spend so you would only get 125 points on a £100 spend in Tesco. Are you missing the 125 or the additional amount you thought should be added on as well?

with my Tesco CC I receive a separate Clubcard statement for it, even though it is linked to my Clubcard.

    Ok here goes

You get 5 points for every £4 which essentially means 1.25% per pound when spent instore.

Out of the store you only get 1 pt for every £4 which is .25%. However when used against deals then your purchases out of store are worth 1% and your Tesco purchases are worth 5% per £1.

I always used to use my clubcard and I had cashback card of 1% so for every £1 spent instore I earnt 2% albeit split, so as far as the cash back card was concerned I am still getting the same allowance (once I have X's it for the deals) but I get to save for 5 flights to Florida.
    £2.00 Savers Club = £34.00 So Far

+ however may £2 coins I have saved in my Terramundi since 2000.

    Terramundi weighs 8lb 5oz

You do not get the 5 points on top of the normal Clubcard points (this includes the normal Clubcard points). You get an extra 1 Clubcard point per £4 you spend on the credit card wherever you shop.

Thanks for your response but that is what the website says,so I think it is a bit misleading.

    hai..

    can anyone help..
I am not sure if this is the right place to put the query in...:o

I am currently using a debenhams credit card for all the spending, and i get vouchers every three months to spend at debenhams.
but i dont shop so much at debenhams since I have moved home as there isnt one near to where I live.I have already lost £11 worth vouchers as the date expired.
I am thinking of switcihng my card..but not sure what to go for-
cash back card or clubcard plus or tesco credit card...
which one would be more profitable...(I do use clubcard points in deals):money:

You do not get the 5 points on top of the normal Clubcard points (this includes the normal Clubcard points). You get an extra 1 Clubcard point per £4 you spend on the credit card wherever you shop.

This is correct. I read it wrong at first but the way it was stated was 5 points for every £4 spent in Tesco, 1 point for every £5 spent elsewhere.

So a £100 spend in Tescos would get you 125 points. A £100 spend in say Comet, gets you 25 points.

If you use your clubcard in tesco you get 1 point for every £1 spent, so £4 = 4 points. So by using your credit card you are only getting 1 point extra. £4 spent = 5 points.

If you spend with your card elsewhere you get only 1/4 of a penny for every pound spent.

Every little (and it is little)helps.
