    i think it's over 3 years. she bought it on the spur of the moment from a door to door salesman. he did tell her she wouldn't get credit at the age of 85 but it went through okay. it cost 2 thousand and she pays £80 a month (ouch!!). i don't know what the interest rate is on that, she'll be paying back £2880 i think if it is a 3 year loan, plus she paid a hundred or so up front as a deposit. i am assuming that she's being charged high interest because 85 year olds don't always live to repay the loan in full :-(
