Post Office Lunchbreaks

No blood tests for Pensioners before 10:00am.
Ah yes....LOL ;DJust run, run and keep on running!0 -
Larger post offices have 'post shops' which are seperate from teh counters where you pay for postage and bits.
They also have a queueing system where you have one line and you get called to the next window.
Smaller post offices (which will soon be a thing of the past due to cut-backs) just don't have the staffing to open during lunch and for security no-one can be left on their own.
I agree that closing at lunchtime is silly but in the post office, there's never a right time to shut for lunch.
In the morning you get the pensioners doing their things, the lunchtime rush, afternoon brings the dole drawers (if they have managed to drag themselves out of bed!) and the late afternoon the after-school and after-work people.
With the closure of more post offices, the open ones will get busier.
A sign of things to come!Watch out people. You don't know what lurks around the corner for you![/SIZE]0 -
Blimey! what are you lot like ;D
So you want this:-
Post offices:
open 8am - 6pm
No pensioners 8-9am 12-2pm or after 3.30pm
No lunch breaks 12-2pm
Tax disc only line
Postage stamp only line
Supermarkets and swimming pools:
No pensioners before 9am between 12-2pm and after 3.30pm
No gossiping at any time
Buses:
No OAPs between after 5pm
;D ;D ;D
Have I missed any ::) ;)
No pensioners on the road (public or private transport) before 9.30am should just about cover it LOL ;D
Perhaps we could give them an electronic tag in case they break curfew. Now what would be a suitable punishment? Make them watch TOTP?~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

Make them watch TOTP?
What with the volume turned off to make them think they've gone deaf? Most things in life are easy it's just doing them well that's difficult !!!!!!!!!!0 -
rofl @Poochy, Poppy & Highwayman ;D
As for suitable punishment, I say confiscate their mint humbugs & lavender water.
We need to start a separate thread for pensioner-bashing (not literally, though :-/ )
Poppy, you left out my evening deliveries/evening opening for the sorting office!0 -
Sorry about the missing the PO deliveries - now lets think how could we make this better ???
I know if you are at work when they try to deliver perhaps they could get a neighbouring pensioner who has nothing else todo to deliver it to your workplace.~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

I don't want to start pensioner bashing I'm hoping to live long enough to be one (if Gorden Brown will let me) one day. Most things in life are easy it's just doing them well that's difficult !!!!!!!!!!0 -
Yes, because the pensioner will have loads of free time 9am-4pm due to only going out at rush hour to clog up the buses, post office queue & swimming pool!
