The Remington ones are ok, I have a pair for my gym bag. But GHDs are just the best, I would not be without them, whatever the cost.

I took the advice to check out review sites and would you believe that remington power straighteners from boots at £25 come out incredibly well. I have spent ages on the net looking for ones for my daughter and I am going to go to boots and get these!!

make sure you buy the ones that are solid ceramic plates and not ceramic coated - there are two types of remington ones that look exactly the same!

My sister has the remington ceramic ones, and they are good, but just not as good as my ghds!

I put in the code SKINSAVER for 10%discount on order £80

this code seems to have expired. Pricedash.com came up with "beautybible" or "bringme" for 10% off at hqhair but I haven't tried them yet.

GHD have modified them so they don't blow up any more. I had a Hairtools pair that blew up too, so it wasn't just GHDs.

  • Feeling very proud of myself this morning - using this thread i have bought a shiny new pair of GHDs and got a bargain:-

    GHDs on HQHAIR - £75
Bought through pigsback, 750 piggy points - -£7.50
    Used 10% discount code - -£7.50
    P&P - £2.50
    TOTAL - £62.50

Even better a woman I work with wants to buy my used once wet to straights for her daughter so she's buying them for £35!

    Now that's what I call a bargain! :j
