    Really ?
Whats the point in ebay asking for rating on p+p charges then ?

So that they force sellers to increase item prices instead and make more money in Final Value Fees of course! I would have thought that was blindingly obvious.

You aren't meant to include travel to the PO in the P&P cost btw.

Yes you are - its a valid 'handling cost' You can include invoicing and warehousing too if you wish to.

Apart from the first 'most' I'd agree with that. If you sell regularly on Ebay, and you have to cover standing in a post office queue, your shoe leather, time taken to pack, petrol, etc, etc into your postage charges when essentially that is your job, then you should consider doing something else, as your business is obviously not profitable.
P&P charges are supposed to cover all of this. Time, effort, materials, storage, shipping, handling, labeling, etc.

Inflated postage charges to save paying Ebay fees is fee avoidance and tells me the seller is dishonest. Again if you can't cover the fees and earn a profit do something else.
Paying something when you dont have to is just plain stupid. It not about if you make a profit but about maximising your profit.

No they aren't, they can do, but they aren't supposed to. To say your postage charges covers effort and material is ridiculous.

As for your other point about inflating postage charges to cover Ebay fees, I stand by my previous statement that this is dishonest. The charges are there for all to see, if you think they are too steep don't use Ebay. If you can't afford something, don't buy it, anything else is theft.

The same is true of the postage charges, if buyers don't like them they should go elsewhere.

Given that they are on view for all to see I think theft is a little strong.

Why? What else do you call not paying for something?

How hard is it to understand

It is therotical , ie Argue it with ebay because the point is why its there or not is irrelevant , it is there and buyers will use it
