MSE works better on Firefox?

Oh dear. This is exactly why I started off with "If you run XP (ignore if not)". It really does depend on the OP coming back and clarifying."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

firefox is much better on most forums as it highlights any spelling mistakes that you may have typed.
then all you do is right click the word and it gives you the correct spelling.0 -
To stop you all speculating. I take those updates that are automatically installed / pushed from Microsoft. But I'm not a 'techie', so I check with the guy who set up my machine before I install brand new software. He's the one who said "OK" to Firefox, "OK" to avast antivirus, and "Not OK" to IE7. I don't know the reasons but I'm not going to risk something and it goes wrong and then there's no-one to support me.
I think I'll follow espresso's and jarrod1's advice. I'll make firefox my default and then the IE issue won't crop up, even if for most websites there's no significant difference.
P.S. My operating system is XP Pro.
