opening a second ebay account for buying?

As i only sell bits of my various collections (mostly vintage clothes) I am now wanting to open a second account for buying as although still on 100% all I would need is one negative and a neutral and I presume I would be suspended?
My husband buys a lot of golf items in the summer and I don't want to not be able to buy.

So question. If you have a dual core computer is that a different IP address?
We have a house that was two flats so we have a seperate postal address if required. And would be different cards for paypal etc.
So would I be suspended on the new account which would be totally for buying if god forbid I get suspended on the other account.
All help gratefully received. Bit of a numpty with computer IP's etc.,

You can have as many accounts as you like as long as there is no interaction between them. No point having an account just for buying, it will always be 100% positive now.

I wouldn't worry about suspension, if you describe your items clearly and offer a refund for any disgruntled buyer you are unlikely to get any neutral or negatives. Unless your feedback score is very low it would take more than 1 negative and 1 neutral to lead to a suspension.
What I was saying about 2 accounts is use them both for selling and buying as your feedback percentage will always go up when you buy as sellers can only leave positive.

If you are suspended on one account you can't use another one anyway.

No. IP addresses are assigned (assuming you have a fixed IP) by your service provider.

If you have a 'dynamic IP address' (whereby the ip number changes all the time) i think you should be alright........especially if on both accounts you have different names & addresses.

If they are seperate accounts and not connected in any way (i.e different account holder names, different postal addresses & different IP addresses) the remaining account should be OK.

Ebay specifically ban using a second account whilst suspended on another. Obviously some people will try and fraudulently get round this by trying to unlink the accounts, but ultimately they run the risk of getting caught out and any temporary ban converted to a permanent one.

The postal addresses are not the issue really, and anyway I can't see why you would want to use an account with the wrong postal address unless you wre out to do something a bit dodgy?

I think you are misreading my posts.

There is absolutely no porblem at all in having more than one account, I suppose in total I have 8 at the moment, all have my actual postal address and telephone number.

I was responding to your post responding to mine about not using one account whilst another is suspended:

Have as many accounts as you like, no need at all to have different addresses. Just remember that if suspended on one you may not use any other account.
