My dog ate cat poo

It's called Coprophagia and it's totally normal for a dog to do it. Problems may occur if the animal whose poo they are eating has just been wormed - the dog ends up consuming the shed worms

Excessive eating other animals poo, and a very good appetite but not putting on weight can be an indication of an overgrowth of 'bad bacteria'.Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0 -

The important thing is to provide your cat with a safe place to do its business - dogs like Pollyanna's can follow them around and make them quite miserable, feeling like they have to hold it in!
Gosh, I never thought of that! But the cat has a cat flap and can go out at all times. Plus, I'm sure if the dog is really annoying her, she'll poo next door (Pollyanna apologises to her neighbours!

One of our spaniels does this and it seriously freaks out DH. Nowadays he can't get to the cat poo so he resorts to eating his own - high yuk factor and a still freaked DH. Will show him this thread so he can see its not unique (DH not the dog
), maybe he'll be less grossed out by it then (doubt it tho).

Seems they all do it!! Mine eats cat's (don't even have our own cat!), dogs, & foxes. He can smell it a mile off!
He also has very, very smelly wind. My vet said it's just something some dogs do!0
