Spanish buyer - Want's my bank details

I sold a ps3 game on ebay 5 days ago - and had it set up for worldwide delivery with a 14.99 international signed for.
It sold to someone in spain - and he keeps emailing me in spainish - which I don't understand. I have used an online translator to understand it and it seems like they are asking me for my bank details to do a transfer?? I had Paypal only for international buyers, however I really don't know what to do.
Should I use a second chance offer to the next highest bidder?
I have emailed the spainish guy, in both english and spanish, and told them payment to be made via paypal and gave the email address.

I think bank transfer is very safe way for sellers (not good to buyers if they have any problems in the future). You need to ask your bank to get a swift code if you want to go this way.
you also can ask them to make a payment via paypal. But you MUST make sure their account is verified by PAYPAL and send the item to confirmed address ONLY. Otherwise you are not protected by PAYPAL.0 -
Snap their hand off if they ask to pay by TT!!
Your IBAN will be on your bank statement, send that and.
Acc Name.
Acc No.
Sort Code.
Bank Address
...and I think that covers it!0 -
Are you being serious??
I would of thought the last thing to do would send some stranger my bank details??
Couldn't the use these details for something else??0 -
How do you think proper business is done! Its all through transfers, commonly through currency brokers and they won't be using paypal! lol
The important details are the card number, which they won't have.0 -

As far as I know, only PayPal customers in the US, UK and Canada can verify their address, and posting outside these countries is not covered by Seller protection.0 -

Just a question. Have you never given a cheque to a stranger?
It's exactly the same thing. Name, Bank, sort code and account number. Its all you are giving them. The IBAN or Swift code are just sort code and account number with an identifier of your bank.====0 -

Only the mass crime of many random people putting money in your bank account!0 -
Like marty J says unless the item is over £36 there is no point in using tracked and signed for as paypal addresses are not confirmed outside the US and UK.
AS for bank transfers, I offer it on all my listings and mo one ever uses it, to actually get someone volunteer a bank transfer is great.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
