Post Office £50 cashback car insurance

Got car insurance with £50 cashback from Post Office. They said they would credit my credit card within 60 days which for me should have been 1st May and I'm still waiting. Phoned them 10 days ago and was given usual bull about them being busy due to popularity of product. They promised to sort it out and e-mail me but still nothing has happened. Anyone else having this problem?

Are you sure that you were told that you would get a £50 refund within 60 days? The £50 refund was available on house/contents insurance but the refund was to be made ''not less than 60 days & not more than 70 days from commencement of the policy''.

I took out my house/contents insurance with AXA via the Post Office & my policy started on the 2/4/08 so I am expecting my £50 refund anytime now.

I've just checked my credit card account & a refund of £50 from the Post Office has been credited to my account on the 3rd June. That's 62 days! :D

Beware the Post Office Car Insurance rip off, I used them last year, I went elsewhere this year, they sent me a bill for not cancelling at the end of my 12 month term, my contract was for 12 months, which is what I paid for.

Anyone got an email address for the P.O. I took out a car insurance policy with them several months ago, but wasn't sure when the £50 cashback was due. I will chase them now I know once I have the details. Thanks.

I don't know if you can e-mail them via their website www.postoffice.co.uk but their number is 0845 0731002.

I phoned them again yesterday as I've been waiting over 100 days and they promised they'd sort it out but they said that last time so here's hoping!

I took out car insurance with the post office as my previous policy, it took lots of arguing with them to get my cash back and took a few months. The whole experience left me thinking that they are a company I'd never use again even if they were cheaper than all the competition.

Just to update that I got my £50 cashback on 13th June so that's about 3.5 months after the policy started and it took 2 phonecalls but I got there in the end!
