Simple Comparison of Call Charges Sought
Afternoon All,
Just had a slightly higher than expect bill from O2 - not a huge issue for me, but it's got me thinking - most of the above-normal part of the bill is from calls to 08xx numbers (which are charged at the normal per-minute rate for 0845, 0800 on O2) - but not I'm needing to know - is there a simple comparision chart anywhere which shows 'Price per minute of calls (for calls outside tariff)'?
Most places I've looked at show good deals for full tariff information (ie. included minutes, free gifts, personalised service from the dali lama and whatever else is flavour of the month) - but for my own sanity I just want to see how much Vodaphone/Orange/3/BT/Virgin etc charge per minute to know where O2 is taking the biscuit or not.
Regards,
Ryan

I don't use the O8** numbers and just look them up on saynoto0870.com and call the "proper" number.
And sadly, anything up to 35ppm is quite normal for calling non-geographic numbers.*I reserve the right to have an opinion, the right to change this opinion and the right to be wrong.*Hope that helps. If you find this post useful, please feel free to hit the V V V V V V 'Thanks' button below0 -
Yeah, I normally go for the saynoto0870 myself - these ones happened to come just after I moved (setting up bills etc for the move) and were before the broadband was activated (terrible times ;-)).
It just became more of curiosity thing after a fair chunk of googling failed to reveal the answers ;-)
