Problems with Sony Ericsson k850i

I was so looking forward to using this phone, bought a 4gb (or whatever it is) card for it, and wanted to put loads of music on to use to take to the gym etc.

I have managed to get 1000 songs on so far, but I cannot for the life of me put these into playlists. I manage to put one song on, then when I go to add others it only lets me put their own ringtones on!

Also, I cannot work out how to customise the phone to put a message alert or ringtone of my own. At the moment I am like a sad old woman with the sony ericsson tones on my phone, very uncool for a 30 something

I have read through the instruction book but cannot find anything to help. Are there any experts out there that can help me? Thanks.

Ooh, I was gonna get a k850 for my upgrade, sounds confusing!!
On all the Sonys I've had in the past to get a song as a ringtone, I've just gone inot file manager, music, scrolled down to pick the song then right click and use as. x

i have the 850i and love it it is really simple to use just install the software that came with the phone and then drag and drop stuff u want for it

I managed to do this, but I thought I would have been able to create the playlists off the phone itself. Is there an easy way to do this, also put a song on for my ringtone? Thanks

to set a song as a ringtone on my k810, i have to browse to the song in the file manager > more (might be options on your phone. i have never used a db3150 SE phone before) > use as > ringtone

to set a text tone menu > settings > sounds and alerts tab > message alert > i think its the custom option in the list (otherwise it should be the last option like my k810.

as for the playlist issue, there should be a playlist option somewhere (what about the more option in the media player?)

I've got a K850, having a few issues with it - wondering if anyone else has experienced the same thing.

1. Sometimes the phone will reboot itself for no apperent reason. Proably happened 5 times in 3 months.

2. About 20% of the time I try to ring someone from my phonebook it will call someone else instead.
