Seeing as you have to spend money to get cashback. It doesn't seem to belong on Freebies.

    Forgot to add this earlier.

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email !!!!!!.

Didn't work first time for me. Told me it was incompatible with my version of firefox. The version of firefox it specifically says it works with on the website... Removed the extension and reinstalled it, and it works fine now. :)

    Hello Poppycat,

Amazon is working okay for me - are you visiting .co.uk (rather than .com) and has the page completely finished downloading? The alert only fires once the page load progress has reached 100%.

    Cheers,

    Chris.

I always forget Ebay too and Amazon

Funny enough doesn't seem to work for Amazon for me, although Pigsbank has points for using Amazon.

This looks pretty good, and I have downloaded and am using it.

Do you reckon it tracks all the sites and adverts you browse? On some level it must...

    Hi TSharp,

There is no logging done as you shop/browse. The toolbar has a list of supported cashback sites that it downloads daily from Cashback Guide (to make sure it reports the current information) - it then checks this list as you browse, which is *completely* anonymous.

If you click on "View Offers" this will take you to a page on the Cashback Guide site where a regular web server log entry will be made - this is normal for almost all web servers (for example, the MSE servers will most likely be logging the same information).

I hope that has answered your question.

    Cheers,

    Chris.

    Hi Poppycat

This is strange. Clutching at straws here - the plugin will only display an alert once per browser session for any given site. If you kill all instances of FireFox, then start a new browser session - do you get an alert for Amazon?

I aim to add an option into FireFox to set whether you get an alert once per session or on every page visit in a future version. I went for the 'quieter' option initially so it didn't become too annoying.

    Cheers.

    Chris.
