when you say for 3 of you, do you mean each or for all 3?

Where are you travelling from, when are you travelling, is it 3 adults or 1 adult & 2 children. For children, how old are they?

have you tried looking at more inconvenient times? Travelling off-peak would help. Also remember that sometimes it is cheaper to buy two singles, rather than one return. Would it be cheaper to ren a car & drive if there is 3 of you? If it's round about the same amount, at least it would be more convenient for luggage etc.

try splitting the tickets ie: purchase 3 return savers from nottingham to manchester connecting with three from manchester to blackpool. using the east midlands trains website and also that of nationalexpresseastcoast.co.uk I can see ways of getting these for about £100 if the times suit you. .... good luck...mike (ps: of course if you have any rail cards eg: family and friends you can get up to a third off.....)

No way - either you or the website is doing something wrong. A walk on single, full price, is only a quarter of that sum. You cannot possibly pay more than that. A walk on RETURN is only £70 a head, off peak. Well I say only - still expensive.

The rebook in Manchester suggestion sounds the best way forward.
