can you dial 08717 numbers on orange using minutes

does anyone know if you can dial 087177 numbers on orange using free minutes

No you cannot dial any non geographical numbers on Orange Contract phones apart from 0500/0800/0808 ,and these dont come out of your inclusive minutes they are free.Are you trying to make cheap intl calls?

The Orange Pay Monthly Price Guide says 30p/min at all times. See page 20.

No UK network allows you to call 0871 numbers out of of your inclusive minutes.But if Orange were say matching you on an ovp against o2 you would be technically operating under o2 rules,and if they allowed access to ngn out of their inclusive minutes then Orange would match it.

I don't think that's the case. In theory Orange can charge what they want. Read Orange's OVP Price Guide and Pay Monthly Guide.

From page 2 of the OVP guide:

There are some call charges that Orange do not replicate.
These include, and are not limited to calls to premium rate numbers, calls to personal rate numbers, calls to 0844 numbers, calls to 0871 numbers, calls made whilst roaming abroad, and calls made to international destinations. For details of these and other charges, please visit https://www.orange.co.uk.

If you select an OVP tariff on this page, it gives the above message and says to refer to the PM Price Guides I mentioned above. There's only 2. The OVP one says refer to the website and the website says refer to the Price Guides. So I presume that 0871 numbers are charged at Orange's rates, as listed in the PM Guide, although this document makes no mention of OVP!
