wireless connection broadband laptop

My laptop has a built in wireless internet capability and this worked fine when I had the "free" orange livebox ( could never get that to work wireless on computer though but as long as it worked was happy) .
Changed to talk talk and orange wanted £100 for the livebox so sent it back (hastily retrieved it from where i had dumped it outside with a load of other rubbish for the tip - how was i to know they wanted their free box back? Just hope they dont try to pass it on to someone else !).

Im with talk talk on the wired free connection box they sent this is connected to the computer & works fine.
Is there any other option other than to spend another £30 for the livebox with talk talk so I can use my laptop again?
Whats the best (cheapest) way for me to use the laptop and get wireless broadband connection.
