'Known fault' on Toyota

I've done my research .....

There is a 'baffle' in the inlet manifold (maninthestreet was bang on!), it does cause a bit of a rattle...

Unfortunately, the inlet manifold is about £217 and it isn't quick to change. A cost of about £400 is roughly what we would charge (£40 an hour labour plus vat - around a 4 hour job - ouch).

Whoever quoted you £400 is not ripping you off, especially when you consider the cost of the part - just be grateful you are not paying Toyota's hourly rate!!

Edit: The part, £217 is not inclusive of VAT...

Cost just reflects the high price of everything these days.

No problem at all. Glad I could be of help. Shame it isn't a 'cheap' fix - but at least I could let you know the price of the part and now you know that you are not being ripped off! Imagine the cost if you were paying toyota labour rates!!!
