You can't GIVE property away in japan now.Bankruptcy isn't the worst that can happen to you. The worst that can happen is your forced to live the rest of your life in abject poverty trying to repay the debts.0 -

First woman. Mortgage started at £816, now it's 9.95% and it's £1486.
"Leaving the family just £700 for everything else".
Well, that's quite a lot I'm sure many here will agree!0 -
why do we need all these documentaries on bear issues
we have the news programs for that after all
It's a health benefit ...0 -
I do agree - I would certainly manage with our family of 4 on £700 per month - particularly if the alternative was to lose my house!0

I'm not sure. It does sound a lot but once you include
Food - £200 +
Council tax - £100?
Petrol - £100?
Bills, insurance - £200+?
and not forgetting sky TV
- £40
and all the rest, I guess it adds up.
Does she work and do they have 2nd and 3rd jobs like you would do if you were about to be reposessed?...it doesn't sound like it.
Not sure if she really gets the "handing back the keys" as a way of solving all her problems, this is the UK not the US.0 -

Thats what I thought. I'd love to have that much after the mortgage, and my morgage reps are a third of theirs.
But now I think of it i do. Its just 465 goes on childcare. Maybe they have other things like that they have to pay.16/06/16 £11446 30/12/16 £9661.49
01/08/17 £7643.690 -
In that case she has an income of £2100 a month take home, which we can all agree is a fair amount.
But I wouldn't want to be paying that sort of mortgage on that wage. Our monthly payment is £769 and our income £60k per year and we have no kids. That's quite enough for me thanks.
Saying that if I was going to be repossessed I would make damn sure I was following every tip on this site and I have lived on tiny amounts compared to this as a student.0 -

I hope my friends are watching this, they are telling me I am a fool for NOT buying in the city centre in Brum. They said that my family semi is going to crash and burn in comparison. Well some might say it will crash and burn but I will bet my house that the city centre flats will do worse.
"oooh you want to get yourself one of those lovely city centre APARTMENTS in a lovely warehouse in the fashionable end of town, no one wants 1930's semis anymore, and gardens are just a pain. As for off road parking, you can just rent a space in the city centre!"
