    Now I'm confused, as my System Volume Information is zero - is this to do with having more than one disk partition, or something else entirely?
  • isnt it the virtual memory that needs increasing though? The hard disk shouldnt affect speed, with the size of hard disks these days...

    Yes it does especially a non-defragged one and oh ofcourse
    too big a drive as the PC has to look in more places for info
    so bigger isnt always better.
