I'd bet they end up paying by Western Union too. I think if I was of a mind I'd email them a seperate email address to my Ebay account and see if they sent me any money.
Best thing to do though is forward and report the message to Ebay..0

western union is fine to receive money by , just not to send with.
ive accepted this offer out of interest before , they put money in , i then told them i had posted it gave them an unused recored number and within an hour there was a chargeback with paypal fraudulent use
luck i had never sent anything so never lost anything , just wanted to see what happens , now i know 0 0

Is it just me or does their email sound similar to those junk emails about having relatives in Africa who you have inherited money from etc? Just the tone seems a bit similar....

Yeah, they're all variations on a theme.
There was an inspired exchange on the net while ago between a spammer and a spamee, wherein the spamee claimed to be researching the dangerous and mysterious cult of Cthulhu. He becomes increasingly paranoid as the exchange goes on, and eventually ends up disappearing. The poor confused spammer is eventually contacted by the "police" whereupon he disavows any knowledge of the disappeared spamee.0
