With the rapidly increasing premium on diesel it will soon be cheaper to run a petrol. I guess supply and demand are kicking in.0

Just doing the maths it is actually pretty close assuming 12,000 miles per year we have.
£1,475pa @ 46.35 MPG Diesel annual fuel Tax = £809 @124 pence per litre
£1,575pa @ 39.8 MPG Petrol annual fuel Tax = £930 @ 114 pence per litre
It will cost more than £100 extra to buy the diesel and the road tax and servicing will be greater. I do not see the advantage of buying a diesel at all any more.0
