My only addition to this chat is this - a good kitchen fitter can make an ordinary kitchen look great and a bad kitchen fitter can make a £50000 kitchen lok like crap! I don't know if you have bought your kitchen yet but if not and you re looking for ways to keep costs down have you checked out some of the online companies selling fully built kitchen units, not flatapcks - this your fitter time and you money. I got my kitchen this way, was going to buy from John Lewis but found an online company, www.kitchenfinesse.co.uk, selling exactly the same kitchen at over 30% less!

Hi - can anyone recommend a good kitchen fitter in the south east (Berkshire)? I am looking at a Magnet kitchen but they want £3k to fit it - no way!

I just want to say that I'm having a kitchen fitted today and tomorrow by a professional fitter (has own tools etc) and can thoroughly recommend him. I'm in Cheshire - so PM me if you'd like his details.

I am in the south east so may too far for him to come :-) Can you advise me how much he cost so I can compare against some of the quotes I am having?
