beetroot sandwiches are best, no butter.... just beetroot and soft white bread.
yummy! i love it but i need the butter (golden cow) has anyone tried warm cabbage on plain bread with butter dripping      or am i just an odd ball
where can i get cheap golden cow butter at this week to keep on line of money saving
Golden Cow is made in Craigavon i think, you can get it almost anywhere, Tesco's Spar etc0 -
Nutty Krust I think its the best thing since sliced bread
I love it toasted on both sides, on one side, with butter, with cheese, with chees and ham, with soup, with stew, with anything at all! Golden Cow is the best butter to have with it;)
Its gorgeous in sandwiches too, some lettuce, scallions, cheese, ham, salt, mayo!
Now I want some  and dont have any:mad:
If your coming here and want to try it, dont, coz when you go back home and cant get it, you will go mad looking it.:j Practice makes perfect, but nobody's perfect, so why practice? :j

No, you don't put it in the toaster. You stick it under the grill and only toast it on one side.
Definately, its nowhere near as nice when toasted on both sides! I love the heels! As for veda, toasted, butter and dairylea is delicious but I can only eat it if the kids are out because they pinch it on me after devouring their own.
I want some plain bread now!Norn Iron Club member 273:beer:0 -
This will jog your memory a bit http://www.irwinsbakery.co.uk/products/product/10/irwins-nutty-krust/
Plain bread is lovely, especially when very fresh, first class toasted with bacon too
Have to agree.

We always have a loaf of Irwins Nutty Krust in the house (the brown one is nice too but OH is a purist and prefers the white). There is nothing like a chip butty made with fresh white plain loaf and loads of real butter....*drooling*0
