Could somebody recommend a good dial up service please. I'll require it for about 10 days while broadband is set up in my new house.

Don't know how good it is, but if you are staying with maaf, then they have a dial up service for signed up customers awaiting provision of their broadband:

Signup for a Claranet trial account:

https://secure.clara.net/trial/index.cgi?source=webdialup

and use this number for the dial-up - 020 7206 9445.

This avoids using any 0844/0845 numbers and will come out of any free call packages you may have.

MAAF charge 1p/min evenings and 3p/min during the day

0844 MAAF numbers are charged at 4p/min at all times. Don't know about this number though 08440567000, it's not their tech support or CS.
