hiya im glad andrea had posted the info
it does seem that there are people who come along to disrupt a pleasant thread and try and be hostile to newbies
ive always tried to just post a quick hi to someone ive noticed for the first time posting and show we are welcoming so incase they get any horrible poster, then i hope to have made a good first impression, i also try and remember to warn them not to take any notice
i guess its human nature, some nice people others just nasty
let us all bring back a positive note and posts so much nicer
take care have a fun rest of sept 08

Truecall device, stops all the unneccesary phone calls - my sanity has been restored and the peace in the house is truely priceless!:rotfl:0 -
I`m fairly new here, so haven`t seen any troll attacks yet, and hope not to!
But well done to those who are vigilant against such things. I`m also one of those at the end of her rope, feeling low and very downhearted about the state of things re debt and the hopelessness of no end to it.
Finding somewhere where there are others in the same boat, and heaps of practical, safe and good advice, is a godsend, frankly. More so because there might be others like me who try to keep a stoic face in front of loved ones, mainly because I don`t want to worry them, and since they are worried too, the last thing they need is me falling to pieces. So talking to `strangers` can be easier than talking to those closest to you. If that made sense.:o0 -

Hi All, l have'nt been on here for ages because we couldnt afford the internet for a while and really missed my life line of all these lovely people on here. l cant believe people could be so nasty about people in a crisis. l have a friend who doesnt use this site but is in serious debt and although l cant help her financially we regularly get together for support.
lm panicking at the mo as have filed to claims on mcol, but l think these large companies bank on people being scared of this so they'll drop their claim, and lm annoyed with myself as l lost my temper to somebody on the end of the phone at creation financial services! mind you the way they treat people it probably wasnt his first experience!!
Nice to be back! x0 -

Yes that does make perfect sense, OH and me have always had the "yeah we're doing fine" face on but of late have had to say whats really going on to some of our oldest friends and the reaction we had made me teary, they offered money to help us out, rang round lots of their contacts for work, also l know its hard but always try and keep your chin up and be cheerful, these are skills that l've learnt over a long time, why should these companies make your life a misery, they're not worth it!0 -
For every 1 nasty poster, there are 10,000 decent and helpful posters, so whether you are a newbie or a seasoned poster you can rest assured that the nasty pasty of this world are far and few between.

Thank you.
I'm new here.
There have been a couple of occasions when I thought I might try to drink myself to death. It didn't work, my debts got worse, so now I'm facing up to them by trying to fight back. Its been one of the loneliest periods of my life, and I can fully understand how some people feel.
Thank you again and thanks for the replies on the bankruptcy forum.
