3g networks

Is there any websites that tell you if 3g is availabe in your area?

    There are five networks, each making their own network provisions such that the actual experience can depend on the network you are connecting to.

    Here is the map for O2's coverage. You'll be interested in the HSDPA coverage (it's pretty much 3G).

    Ditto for Orange.

    so i can get tmobile 3g but not vodafone or orange, but if i left 3 miles away i could get it lol

    o2 map isnt working but thats what im most interested in.

    That's the one I use and, while it works for me, I honestly have to say that I haven't found it that accurate. I live in Exeter and went to Birmingham on the train and had pretty lame reception most of the way.

    Another interesting page is OfCom's mobile mast sitefinder. It's not the best interface, but it does mean you can find which mobile masts are nearest you and their capabilities. This doesn't always mean you'll get the best reception from them - there might be a building or a hill in the way - but I found it interesting none-the-less. (Couldn't remember the link last time I posted, sorry).
