My son has among other viruses, trojans spyware and malware got these 2 applications.I have just spent the last two hours scanning his pc in safe mode with Avast and managed to get rid of a lot of nasties but these persist.I have googled for a way to remove them but as they were inadvertently installed with something else,I am scared of downloading the so called removal tools.I also have a problem staying on the page I want on his pc as this XPantivirus2008 tells me every page I want is being blocked for my safety. Can someone help me remove these for free please. It looks likew I will have to download any removal tools to my pc then go upstairs with them on a usb stick.
I would also like to see his internet history so I can see if he is looking at unsuitable stuff.Although his history is set to show last 20 days,it is only showing today.I fear he is more pc savvy than I am.

You can always be mean and use a hosts file to block access to certain websites there are some downloadable host files people already have made available already. When using the housing forum please use the sticky threads for valuable information.0

I doubt my son has done this, will it be a factory setting? It is a Dell Dimension E520 if that makes a difference.0 -
nothing different to what any of us did as teens, just the technology has changed making access easier, go easy on him...that's what I suspect but I don't want to accuse until I can prove different if he denies it
your error message, this XP or vista? try with superantispyware (link above, somewhere)Utinam logica falsa tuam philosophiam totam suffodiant.0 -

Absolutely right.I don't intend slapping him down for it,as long as he doesn't lie to me about visiting xxx sites. As it's the inevitable clicking on link after link when he is in them that has more than likely lead to the viruses, trojans spyware and malware that I am now trying to get rid of.
