hi all, does anyone know of an effective FF add-on for pop-ups; the in built one (even on high settings) still lets pop ups through. I don't like Google pop-up blocker either; just wondering if FF do their own add-on? thanks as always:)

i use ff and i've never seen a pop-up (well, not for a long time). maybe the adblock plus with filterset g addon is sorting them? Or maybe its noscript? or maybe I just don't visit dodgy enough sites, though I doubt that

I have found a noscript an absolute pain to set up, so uninstalled it:)

the ones i STILL receive are those where, once the site opens, a pop-up window 'drags' itself across the screen OR a pop-up (minimized) window is displayed or BOTH - must be a combination of pop-ups, javasscipt or something, bloody annoying:(

i visit sites which push the word "bit" in the sentence to the limit, so I won't be offended etc..

Go to the mozilla addon section and there is a very good adblocker called ADblock plus. Its free and very effective.
