e2save cashback

Has anyone who bought a phone on a cashback deal from e2save successfully had their cashback via cheque or air-time credit? Thinking about taking out their 4.99 3 deal, but hesitant coz I have not yet transacted with them.

Replies would be very much appreciated, thanks!

  • Cashbacks seemed to have reappeared recently cos of three's shake up of the other 4 networks .......so as regards the particular deal to which you refer its too early to tell.
  • At the time of signing the contract, e2save promised £180.00 in two lots. I had to go through a lot of hassle before I could get £160.00 and I am still waiting for the balance of £20.00 and I am worried as my contract is running out in January. I had a lot of problem with their 3G sets

To date rec'd all the promised cashback / incentives due from e2save , 1 lot did take a few emails - that was during time of CPW takeover

  • I think it might be worthwhile if I wait for a little bit since as I read earlier on one of the posts on this forum that the costs may also come down once Voda roll out their 3G services.

I am running a cashback/MSE charity donation scheme using the e2save £20 refer a friend scheme.

If you use this, it brings the cost down from £4.99/month to £3.74/month during the first 12 months!

    Here are the details:

    I have a referrers link from e2save.

(They give everyone who buys a phone from them one to encourage you to get friends to buy from them.)

This gives a cashback from e2save of £20.

Anyone wanting to buy a phone from them can PM me for the details, and I will pass on £15 of the cashback to them. The remaining £5 will be passed on to MSE Martin to be donated to one of the Board's charities. (And of course, nothing for me).

This scheme gives the buyer the best possible "cashback", helps charity and is all at the expense of e2save!

Still persisting in spamming this flawed scheme across as many threads as possible are we, Smartasss? It may be charitable in thought and deed (and, of course, that is to be commended), but it's still spam when you repeat it verbatim as much as you have - why not create a referral post and refer to it in your signature? - that would be much more MSE-friendly.

I've asked nicely before and I'll ask nicely once more now - please do the decent thing and follow established board protocol and refrain from spamming.

By the way: If anyone wants to know what the fatal flaw is in Smartasss scheme, have a look through this thread (please ignore my referral stuff - the detail you want is near the bottom of the thread). If you would like to benefit charity, Payless has a much more transparent and foolproof scheme whereby he sends you the cheque written out to the charity of your choice so thet you can pass it on.

    1) How is this spamming?

(I have shown how MSE members can beat £4.99/month for this offer in reply to WobyTide's comment)

    2) There is no flaw as you suggest.

Anyone taking advantage of this offer is better off than using any other affiliate/points type offer.

In addition the Board's charities benefit!

    So why gripe about it!

Or are you suggesting I will run off with the poor box?

(I'm not competing with Payless' similar kind charity offer - the differences between them are in the splits - I have said £15 to the MSE member and £5 for the charity, whereas Payless is doing £10 each).

I think I've explained this to you about half a dozen times now, Smartasss. Surely you don't need a seventh explanation, do you?

Why don't you PM me explaining in fine detail how you believe your scheme to be more transparent than Payless' scheme (i.e. in what way is Payless' scheme less transparent for each and every person involved and less able to be policed by the users themselves?) as you have previously claimed and if you can convince me in private I'll happily acknowledge this in public - now I can't say fairer than that, can I?

Until then, please do everyone a favour and stop spamming* this scheme and pretending it is without its flaws. And before you get all indignant with me again, you know fine well what spam is, and your charity scheme posts are clearly classic examples of it - the content of the posts (whilst commendable in themselves) is irrelevant and does not in any way excuse the spam. It's the way it's duplicated far and wide, repetitively and continually, as you have done here and on many other boards and threads, that makes it spam. I've kindly offered you a helpful suggestion to make your adverts far more MSE-friendly - why not treat it as such rather than continue your act of denial?

    regards,
