  • :A Myself and Family recently used an Agent in Cardiff that we felt were Fantastic and would like to Highly recommend. From the inital viewing, the staff were very friendly and offered a great deal of support. Thankfully the service didn't stop upon receipt of our funds. The property is managed by Let Wise and we have built a strong relationship with the team. Unlike most, they benefit from an in house Maintenance team, this means we normally deal with the same people if we experience any problems with the property. Give this Agent a Try if you're a Landlord or Tenant, they really do go above and beyond !

I have used let-wise having moved on from my previous flat. I rang a million companies to book viewings, most were not all too enthusiastic, one in particular, i rang mead properties, who advised me that a could view a property but as they were so busy could i make an appointment for SIX weeks time. I spoke to a guy called Neil in Let-wise, and instead of pushing properties onto me, he listened to what i wanted and tried to find something for me. As it goes, he didn't have anything that i wanted to view. But about 12 days later i get a call from him to say he may have something for me. I viewed it and havent been happier in my little house in thornhill. Suits me well and they manage it, so i don't have to deal with scary landlords, and i did have a problem with ventilation, that was sorted in 3 days. I would defo recommend them. Ask for Adrian or Damian too they are all brill. x
  • I would completely avoid Darlows on Albany Road - they were absolutely dis-organised and useless.

I rang them the day before we were due to move in to check everything was ok and they told me no problems. I turned up to pick up the keys the following day with all my stuff packed into a van and was told that I couldn't move in as there was no gas safety certificate for the flat. When I asked where I was going to sleep and what I should do with my stuff that was in a van which needed to be returned in a few hours, I got a shrug of the shoulders. We moved in a couple of days later.

I'm afraid that level of competence and customer service was a feature of all our dealings with them (they 'managed' the flat we lived in as well unfortunately!).
  • for serviced apartments in Cardiff then if you Google "h4house serviced apartments cardiff" and you should find the place we stayed for the Paul McCartney concert (fab show) , the great thing is that you can walk through the castle grounds to the Milenium Stadium

    Avoid CPS in my experience.

CPS are totally useless. For the first three weeks we had no hot water of flushing toilet (lucky we knew the nieghbours!), the garage door was broken so our car was sat on a busy street for weeks and had both wing-mirrors smashed off (at a cost of £200 EACH to replace) and when they sent someone around to fix the door it was an agent with a hammer and screwdriver - no need to say that it didnt work and a locksmith was called and the lovely CPS were charged

I totally second this. There student support for student lets (especially first time letters) is terrible, especially as I think most of the people who work in the student office have not long been students themselves.
