I've heard maison are good, the used to be called iscatai. You can find them on the web. They are only small so not such a big selection but very helpful.0

Avoid Flatm8's. Theres seems to be a conflict of interest as the landlord and the Agency is one of the same. They enter the property unannounced and even enter your rooms without permission:mad:. Furnishings are being replaced with old tat!!

Thanks for the comments. Seems a bit of a minefield!
Anyway, my friend seems to be going with Thomas George. I've seen the contract which is actually fairly sensible - they mention the OFT's Unfair Terms in Tenancy Agreements, which means they're removed many of the sillier clauses I've seen in agreements in the past. But we shall see how it works out...0 -

You'll find that this is the case for several Cardiff agents, although I'm not sure it's really a conflict of interest. There are plenty of agents in Cardiff who own several hundred properties.
I deal with these agents almost daily but have deliberately avoided making recommendations. Having said that, in my opinion the OP has made a pretty good choice.0 -
Thomas George - Steer Well Clear of Them ! They rented us a house with a condemned carbon-monoxide spilling gas fire in it (the only source of heating) and it took them 6 months to sort it - each time they (or their workmen) tried to repair it they made it worse - each time British Gas condemned it again!
These people treat their tenants like cr4p!0 -

To be honest I prefer to avoid them all. They're all crap! I'd recommend gumtree
