I'm all embarrassed now; certainly I don't see myself as an expert as I have much to learn :o:o:o:o:o

Remember, we only started the investments in 2006 as we moved to offset; we could have simply saved, but, at 41 then I knew we needed a long time for investments to grow so that was why we took the balanced view on the OP, offset and the investments. You youngsters will likely be able to start investing earlier in a similar structured approach in time. It is certainly easier now than it was in the past to get the information and comparisons etc plus it is also more "mainstream" as well now.

You just made my OH's day. He's 40 in December and is happy to be a youngster! I'm only 28 so I'm used to it!!! Ha ha. But thanks for putting a smile on his face. :rotfl:

Sorry, joking apart, I hope your feeling better soon, as someone mentioned earlier if you going to catch it its best to get it now rather than in the Autumn when it has mutated.

LOL, today according to OH I have more colour; apparently on Monday I looked more grey than John Major

Rest assured none of the electrons have been touched by me or sneezed upon :rotfl:

    Energy consumption update:
Gas is about 11kWh per day now - water heating, but high perhaps as DD does still like to bath. Despite me trying over and over to say shower and just bath once a week!
Electricity day rate 9.25kWh per day and night rate 2.9kWh per day.

    So things are improving slowly.
  • AW i'm so glad you're feeling/looking better.

Tell me; does anything ever put you off your spread sheets?:rotfl:

I've lost my appetite but find I've lost 8-9lbs in weight since Thursday (hadn't checked in recent weeks but was about 11st 11lb) which is a bit severe! Hope to get back to normal appetite in the week.

Stuart, I'm sure that the going into paying interest upset you greatly last month, no matter how small the amount, but developing illnesses to avoid spending money on food is taking it too far !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope your feeling better - I also looked at your charts but was only able to admire the pretty colours. Sticking to OPing :rotfl:

A woman in a beaded thong probably would.... ;)
But let's be serious as spreadsheets are of course the foundation of our world here, if we are easily deterred from maintaining them then we aren't sufficiently committed! (or is it that I should be committed?)

No RT I hadn't thought of the cost saving on the food especially as I am now starting to make up for it :o
However, you had me laughing hard (thanks set off a coughing fit) with the comment on colours when I know you know more than that!!! :D

Seems to be now although it did fluctuate through Monday especially after evening meal.

Despite the rumours, I have no personal experience of wearing a beaded thong ;)
I'm sure somewhere I've seen them.... or maybe was just hallucinating with several of you talking about your beads and gem stones? :o

I wil go and behave now (must be a sign of improving health which is good because I am struggling getting my VPN to operate so I can do some work which is hurting my head!)

(Apparently) ;-) you can buy a thong made of sweets so might be uncomfortable to begin with but then .......
