Removing flooring glue from vinyl flooring?

Does anyone know what will remove flooring glue from the surface of granolithic type vinyl flooring, got a matt type finish, rather than shiny. Tried Astonish, vinegar, Mr Muscle. I do have white spirit but just wondering if it would be ok, don't want to remove the pattern???

flash magic eraser....seems to work on most things for me0

WD 40 might shift it if you have some, and if not just try some cooking oil and work it in because it works with quite a few different glues given the time. It's notoriously difficult stuff to remove though.
