Window fitter's made a mess of my carpet

I always use obver boot protectors. They are like shower caps that you get in hotels and pop over your boots. Cheap to buy and easy to use.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

That's a really good idea phill. When we went to see a new build a while ago they had a box of those sitting at the door and we were asked to put them on. Did the job perfectly.
As for the mud and dirt, I agree with Doozergirl about leaving it to dry completely. We had a heavy delivery and the 2 blokes carried the stuff upstairs for me but tracked mud all over the place in the process. One carpet was dark blue, the other a very light neutral colour....both carpets vacuumed almost totally clean and a gentle going over with a cloth dipped in carpet cleaner did the rest.
Like mentioned above, I suggest you take pics first. Then if you cant get the carpet clean yourself, you can always go back to the fitter.Herman - MP for all!
