I know! I've just sent a text
'hurry up - I'm knackered'
to be honest, I am tired - doing the extra hours has been tiring and it will be 9 before he is ready and I've driven him across town, back, been to get cider and then come back. Dinner needs cooking as well.
Just had a reply - 'ok - 5 minutes' . I've told him to 'be quicker!'"Stay Wonky":D

Evening all.
Well I'm celebrating... I'd had a nasty D&V thing in january and the doctor decided to send my blood off for testing, which came back with anaemia, low serum iron, high white cells, abnormal liver and kidney function. Repeated tests in March and white cells and kidney results settled down (also no longer anaemic) but liver function and serum iron still abnormal (could excessive drinking REALLY be a problem). Since then, I've only had a drink on alternate nights and stuck rigidly to the 2-3 unit thing (one can of guinness or a large vodka). Had a repeat test on Tuesday and the results in today are normal liver function and normal serum iron. So I'm celebrating with a few cans of guinness and blackcurrant.
Even better news, I can now rejoin the blood donor ranks again:j :j :j
Only downside, went shopping today with Wayne. Only spent £5 at the market (you couldn't squeeze a grape into my house there's already so much fruit and veg here). Made up for it in the asda - £51 on nothing much:o :mad: (well apart from guinness - £10 and cider - £7). I'm not taking him shopping ever again until next week!
Anyhow, Keren, hope OH makes his mind up soon.
Cheers:beer:
