do try another browser you might like them anyway so who knows? just to eliminate your browser i suggest try Firefox simply because i believe AOL is somehow linked to Internet Explorer.

    humor us?

I wouldn't actually know how to go about that, I am with AOL, when I sign on to the internet AOL is there.

If I haven't had this before, it can't be AOL can it?

try resetting all your internet explorer settings

    http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2006/06/12/628499.aspx

To invoke RIES from IE7 and IE7+, go to Tools Menu, Internet Options, Advanced Tab and click on Reset… button. If Internet Explorer is in a state where it cannot be started, one can get to RIES from Internet Options in Control Panel.
    RIES-1.jpg
    choose
Resets browser settings: All user-defined browser settings (includes those set by installed extensions, toolbars, and other add-ons) are reset to Internet Explorer defaults. If the user running RIES has Admin privileges, then corresponding machine settings under HKLM are also reset to Internet Explorer defaults. These settings include all customizations which one can make to Internet Explorer through Internet Options. For example: Security settings, Privacy settings, and Zone settings.

    then click reset on here

I tried to get on IE to go to ebay, I just have a white page & nothing is loading.

I tried this above, it finds it in the search (I tapped in www.ebay.co.uk & it was like a google results page) but when you click on the link you just get a white page & it can't seem to get there, just a little thing spinning in the top right corner.

Thank you, fab instructions for an IT idiot like me:o

Done it. Still can't get onto ebay to pay, (on AOL) & IE is just a blank white screen still:confused: that won't seem to load up. Don't know if thats a very new or older problem because I never use it normally.

On a plus note, when I restarted PC, AOL home page seems to look better, bigger & clearer:D

This ebay problem, it happened AFTER I started trying to fix the BSOD problem. The BSOD started nearly a month ago, & I've been messing with it since. The ebay problem only started a few days ago, so do you think its something I tweaked while trying to fix (:o ) the BSOD?

So you've fixed my BSOD (not happened since & that multimedia thing doesn't come up anymore & in the drivers there is no yellow exclamation mark to say anything is missing.
This in turn has fixed my speakers.
& now AOL homepage seems bigger & better, so
    :T :T :T :T :T :A :A :A :A

    Any ideas about ebay:o

    Sorry to keep bugging you.

It gets to the blue continue button, when I click it, it presses down, like normal, but it doesn't "go on".

    Thank you

One possibility is that the security settings for your Internet zone are set too high to allow Javascript and similar to run (a good thing in general if they are BTW).

To test if this is the problem, go to Control Panel, Internet Options, Security, Trusted Sites, Sites... and add "ebay.co.uk" and "ebay.com". Make sure the "Require server verification..." box is ~not~ ticked.

In IE6 you can short-cut to the Internet Security menu by double- clicking the globe symbol in the bottom right-hand corner, but I don't know if that's true for AOL's messed up version of IE...

Thanks, I tried it, no good. I access ebay through AOL anyway, if that makes any difference. I think I got IE7 (but I could be talking rubbish:o ).
Can't get anything through IE at the mo.
