Pay As You Go on the Three network

Does anyone have any experience with Pay As You Go on the Three network? My current contract ends next month and I hardly ever use my phone - maybe 10-15 minutes and 2 or 3 texts if that. I was wondering if this would be the right deal for me. I don't need a new handset.
I just need to know if there are any extra charges or terms that I should know about. Do you have to pay for a top up each month even if you don't need one? Or anything like that?
Thanks!

try to renew the contract to a minimun of 12 months and tell them you'll keep the mobile. I did it last year and now I pay £5 per month for 300 minutes. My contract expires end of August and I call them today they offer me a new mobile and same £5 if i renew again for 12 months.
They may have different offers depending on customers as for example I recently used it while in Spain; if you're not using it there may other offers. TRY, good luck0 -
Personally i would go with o2 PAYG if you credit £10 a month you get 300 free txts anyway and the £10 is still available after 30 days where as i believe you lose any credit left on 3 after 30 days.

I have a sim on 3pay, it's a pretty competitive service, 12p for all calls with the ability to buy bundles of minutes and texts. Also pretty cheap browsing is also available.
Probably as close to contract as you can get on payg.

Not True. Your credit does not expire on 3 until you use it up.

Plus they still offer Free Voicemail if you have no credit.

See, that's what I thought and I saw that page, yet the man on the phone (in cancellations department) said that it does expire after 30 days. But is he lying to get me into another contract?
I'd prefer to stick with 3 to keep my number and my handset, which only works with the 3 network.
That's very interesting about the £5 for 300 minutes. I don't think I'd mind doing that, such as £5 for 250 minutes and 50 texts and no handset, but do you really think they'd do that? I'm just coming out of a 18 month contract. I suppose I could ask. I really just want the cheapest deal and want to make sure if I do say I'll go to PAYG, I won't get stuck paying 'contract deal' amounts.0 -

Ask them,..... dial 333 from your handset it's free, try going to cancellation and tell them you want to cancel unless there is a special deal for you. After they said about "a brand new camera phone" and its deal, ask what is the deal if you keep your old handset. Also stick to 12 months only....It's up to you really.0
