please clarify what you mean - i endorsed it ?? - and which thread/post is this "strung up " comment on - that does not sound like anything i would have endorsed/agreed with
........post number 16 in this very thread, which you thanked.

""with a hearsay post about 8k’s worth of damage"" - this is not hearsay, he and i have personally costed the repair work needed to restore this property to a lettable condition.
Another example of you quoting a part of someone else's sentence without the context: if you look at the rest of a sentence/paragraph it may help you understand fully what I was saying.

i am fully aware that stories of bad landlords are not aimed at me, but, this forum occasionally becomes hysterically anti landlord - and like all media - a "bad" story gets far more publicity than a "good" story...........
………………..just as you yourself brought in a LL’s “bad” story from the far extreme of the usual property letting experience, on a thread where a tenant was asking for help and there had been no mention of tenant damage.

i think that the small number of good landlords who do post on here (and, who give tenants who are being abused an EXCELLENT free advice service by the way) are fully entitled to try to maintain the "balance" between the argument that "all landlords are barstewards and all tenants are angels" or vice versa - depending on which side of the fence you are.
 if you look back you’ll see that your thanking of CM’s sad post, swiftly added to by your own on “8K’s” worth of damage, was in fact followed by my response about the number of LLs/LAs who have withheld tenants deposits. Maybe what you are saying as that it’s okay for you to balance other people’s views but no-one must be allowed to balance yours? If you calmed down, instead of drawing inferences where there are none, I think you’d see that no one has said “ all LL or all tenants” are anything. Again – don’t be so quick to get huffy.

This forum is not called "Tenants Rights" its called "House Buying Renting and Selling" - so forgive me if my "vested" interest as a good landlord shines thru .....

I can’t even begin to fathom what relevance this has to my original post, but yes this board includes House Renting - aren’t those who rent a property called tenants? Does it say House letting? (as in tenants rent, LLs let) Moreover, AFAIAA, the Forum is a moneysaving forum for consumers , and definitely not a platform for would-be lady bountifuls. You’ll be trying to convince everyone next that those of us who invest in rental property do so because we have a social conscience and have a deep-seated desire to help people who can’t afford to buy their own property ................ :rotfl:
