Cavity Wall Insulation Offer - any good?
Comments
-
I had my house cavity wall insulated 2 years ago by using a British Gas deal. I was about £220, but that was cheap at the time, especially as they did 2 years interest-free credit. It made a big difference, the house is warmer and the heating isn't on constantly, and my bills are definitely lower. So if you can get a cheap deal go for it. This is one of the few good things this government has done, as it is saving energy as well as money.0

Does anyone know, I read on another thread a linked article which claims cavity wall insulation can cause damp as the whole purpose of the cavity is to prevent damp coming in from the outside wall. Has anyone experienced damp as a result of cavity wall insulation? Also, if it did cause damp, would this be covered by the (25 year?) guarantee as we had an updated damp proof course fitted 6 years ago and do not want to cause problems.
Many thanks
