If you are working in Warton is it the British Aerospace site? If it is I would ask your employer to help, they have a very large site and there are numerous staff notice boards etc.. carrying ads for house/flat shares many of which are not in Preston or Blackpool but are much more rural (Kirkham, Lytham etc..), its a long time ago now but I know some folk who rented a farmhouse while working there.0

A very good way of looking for accomodation outside of an estate agent is to use the local printed newspaper or adverstiment board of newagents you will be amazed at what you can find.I owe £3233 @ 0%0

The LEP has it's property paper insert on a Friday. Cycle wise I'd say Fulwood probably a bit too far. Lea or Ashton are probably more do-able. Closer by I'd say Freckleton is meant to be OK and may have more options, the smaller the village harder it is to find somewhere i.e. Wrea Green.May also be worth trying to get Evening Gazette which is the paper covering more of Blackpool *spits* area, think that may come as far as somewhere like Kirkham which is in the middle of the two. Agree that contacting BAE may be best idea, they may have some internal small ads type thing given nmber of employees. Also Uni of Central Lancs may have some contacts with property sorts for student lettings, may be some left over after they have all landed for the year.0

Straight road in, one left turn at the docks, 5-8 ish miles. It's hardly London commuting, matie, bet the Preston "rush hour" lasts all of 10 minutes!! Once the kids are to school and BEA systems workers are behind closed doors, what's there to rush for?Woby_T wrote: Easy drive from Longton/hutton?!? You'd be better off with a boat....

may have changed but I always found the A59 a pain mornings/evenings as it was only a single lane up to Penwortham etc., may not be too bad but I'd always prefer to be north of the river anyway...0

I live in Preston, try to get your friend to get an Evening post tonight as it has the property post in it, which normally has lots of properties to rent. Hope this helps.
