Are you getting mixed up with a paid-for warranty? I would have thought that might have those kind of terms in.

I am finding your line of questions frustrating,or am I missing something here?

Again,it's irrelevant what additional terms they USED to include. What's relevant is what they say now,in writing.,and not someones elses documentation, but yours.
For example,as stated on this board today-tk maxx used to give refunds within a longish timeframe,in addition to your statutory rights.

NOW tk maxx goods have to be returned within 14 days.It would be pointless saying to them "look, you used to do this.Heres the written proof,I want a refund after 6 weeks."

It's what additional terms Ikea offer now ,and unless it's printed on the receipt, those terms are now obselete.

tbh it might have been currys/dixons back 10 years ago.
You're certainly thinking of Currys. I certainly remember having a VCR from them several years ago, which in the end they had to refund on as they couldn't repair it under warranty within 28 days.

From what I remember Comet have an estimated return time, meaning you dont have any hold on them. Obviously there are limits to this.

How long has it been away as we may be able to offer more advice?
