Scottish power 2011 NOT REALLY AVAILABLE!!

I am a SP customer & having checked 3 comparison sites which all suggested changing to BG tariff 5, I emailed SP to see if I would benifit from the Fixed Online tariff, I heard nothing and after emailing again (& keeping screen dumps of my communication) I rang yesterday and was told that this tariff was withdrawn on Friday last. I said OK & proceeded to email the complaints dept, stating I had emailed them on 12th May to change but had received no reply.
Within 10mins I had a reply, apologising and telling me they had changed me over. I also went onto the SP site & they still advertise that this Fixed price energy offer is avaialble.
Maybe people who have rang this week should be more forceful, as the offer is still shown on the SP website.KIND REGARDS

I have just finished signing up to the SP 2011 fix as I've mentioned in a related thread.
According to CS it's not available online any longer but there was no problem signing up over the phone!0 -
I've tried several calls now to Scottish Power and spoke to customer service as well and the 2011 deal finished for good on Friday 30th May @ 4pm.
Looks like Npower are my only choice now, anyone reccomened their customer service?0 -
Hi,
There is a thread about npower because of something called sculpting.
Lots of unhappy customers! Would be worth you reading the thread before you make a decision.[0 -
Existing on-line customers can still switch.
Log in to your account, then click "change my service" and select "fixed price energy" from the drop down list.
But time to do this must be running out now.0 -
For external customers here is the official line they have sent me....unless it is regional??

Hi gang,
I have also so had a similar experience with ScottishPower and trying to get the fixed rate to 2011. I call them up and was told that the fixed rate finished last week, so I have just logged on to the website and have been able to apply for the fixed rate. I cannot get access to my account now but thats not a problem.
Hopefully the deal will payout in the long term.

are you an existing customer? As a new customer I cannot choose 2011 fixed online or over the phone.0 -
Hi Pault123
Yes, I'm an existing customer. I'm basically taking a gamble as I have only just purchase the property (FTB) and don't know what the electric use is going to be so hopefully capping it now for a longer period will help me in the future.
You could try and sign up for one of the other packages then change online but I'm sure they will fix it soon or knock my request back.
