just send a text to someone now, that makes it "used" and is minimal cost.

My wife's French SIM was also deactivated because she didn't top it up for a while.

I used it about two days ago to send someone a text, but I haven't topped it up (added credit) for ages.

Will that do, do you think?

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton

Depends who's it is, but if you still have a signal then it is live atm and you should be OK. Some work on top up and others use. They said I had been sent a text to remind in July but mine was switched off.:o

(Edited to add: Just turned it on, I have a signal and a network. I have sent a text to my other phone and it has worked).

Have been in Cyprus now for 5 days. The Easyjet trip from Newcastle to Stansted was really easy. Unfortunately, we will not be able to do it on the way back as we are flying into Luton in December. Weather is good, although we have had some rain today. Met friends for drinks last night, but have had a very lazy day today.

    Paging SDW!!!

Hi there. From memory you're place is in the Granada area? We're driving from Murcia to Sevilla soon and I wondered it there is a nice menu-del-dia restaurant nearby to the A92 motorway as we go past?

Sorry i haven't replied before, we've only arrived back in Spain last night.

I don't know which road is the A92! Is it the one that goes through Jaen province near Granada airport?

    Hello All,
Just a note to say we are of on Monday (wife and youngest daughter) for our annual London shopping trip. We fly by VLM from Luxembourg to London City Airport. We did this same trip last year and we love London City. It is so much smaller than Heathrow and the transport links to central London are great. I reccomend it.
We are staying in Kensington for 4 nights. That should be enough time for the ladies to satisfy the hunger for shopping and will give me time to "do"again some museums and galleries as well as taste plenty of English beer!!
We have tickets for Billy Eliot on Tuesday evening, looking forward to seeing how much different it is to the film.
We will be using the Oyster card to travel around above and below ground.. We all much prefer the buses over the tube as there is so much more to see.
We will all visit the new Westfield shopping centre in Shepherds Bush as this is suppose to be something special. We will see..
It will be fun being tourists in England.

There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.
