Back to the subject of the TV!!! I am glad you are happy with your purchase, I don't think you took any real risk and I hope it serves you well for many years.
I would however cast doubt on it being a bargain considering the warranty, not new etc. My experience of Bush TV's has been extremely poor. The specification of this one is rock bottom also. For £82 pounds more you can have this one brand new, with a better spec, delivered with a two year warranty.

As I said, I am glad you are happy with your buy and thats the main thing as its your money you spent, but I don't think its a grab-it-quick item.0 -
Your post is a great deal. I don't think it was available when I ordered mine though.
The specifications are very similar. Oddly, the specification points are in the wrong places in the ebuyer one.
On the subject of Bush TVs, this one is the third that I have owned. I've never had a problem with any of them, infact, I still have the other two in other rooms in my house. The majority of LCD tvs come out of the same factory anyway.
I have to admit though, If I were buying now, I would probably go for yours...though it would be a close call.
I think I might recomend the ebuyer one to my Dad.Match betting 2/04/08 - present profit £607

True... the main difference here being nearly double the contrast ratio on Ebuyer. That and the warranty being the decision factor.
Whatever you buy there is always something better somewhere!! All we can do is offer up what we know and hope to help someone. That principle often gets lost on here, it clear your post was only well intentioned. Cheers.0 -
I am so shocked that Tomlad has had to defend himself just for posting a deal he hoped would help others. If you weren't or aren't interested in the deal then why not skip to the next thread? I think that wither or not it was good for you is no excuse to have a go when he already repeated himself about already receiving the tv and it being in tip top condition and well worth the amount he paid for it. Do some of you have nothing better to do the search these boards and comment on deals other people have because you either haven't found a deal that good your selves or can't afford the deal...
Thanks Tomlad for a great find!!!!!0 -
After several days of looking arround, I've just bought one.

An absolute bargain. Built in freeview gives a fantastic picture.
I've got standard virgin going in through scart - this gives a poor picture (poor upscaling by the TV?)
I think this can easily be fixed by getting an upscaling digibox, in my case a V+ (I may be wrong). Even so, stunning for under 300 quid! :T
I should add they are factory reconditioned / display models
Great deal...thanks for sharing the find!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D0 -
Then why not click on Tomlads "thanks" button?

Because up to now no-one has.ac's lovechild0 -
I have. He thought it a bargain and wanted to share his info. Good on him- the essence of this whole forum.
There are factors to be considered and the others may have just been trying to point them out to other possible buyers but came over rather pompous and sounding like they just wanted to be right (IMO!).
Even if it just highlights an even better bargain (any will always be pretty subjective) i.e the ebuyer one then all is good.Green and minimal chemicals is the new black- I know a fair old bit about sustainability, specially energy and transport stuff. If I can help- please ask!0 -
Many thanks for your support.
Often the internet doesn't bring out the best in people. It's easy to forget that the other people on a thread are human beings, not just a computer screen.Match betting 2/04/08 - present profit £607

Many of the prices on their website are more than you would pay for a new item.
A Philips 42" Plasma ( same model ) is more than at John Lewis, it comes with a 5 year warranty and free deilvery at John Lewis.:rolleyes:0 -

Are you for real?
So whats your point? Whats that got to do with the item I mentioned?
I never mentioned that plasma screen or suggested it was a good deal.
Do you people really have nothing better to do?
I can't beleive you've actually spent your time looking for the worst deal you could on the wizzard website. It's pathetic. Inccidentally I bought through their ebay account, which is cheaper.
PC World often have fantastic "one off" deals. By your philosophy these shouldn't be posted, as PC World is generally not good value.
Oh and thanks for the patronising  smiley
The way some people are carying on, its a wonder anyone ever posts anything in this section of the forum!
Edit - I've just found the plasma on wizzardprice, it's brand new! The don't only sell graded products...
Believe it or not I have no particular reason to defend "wizzard price", apart from the fact they gave me good service. It just really annoys me how arrogant some peoples posts have shown them to be.
Edit again - John lewis don't even seem to sell a philips 42" plasma! Have you just made this little fact up to prove a point?
Can you post a link to verify your claim?Match betting 2/04/08 - present profit £607
